Yes. All levels are welcome. If you are a beginner you will be supported for growth. If you are not so new, you will be challenged physically, mentally and spiritually.
Yes! I want you to have the best trip ever which means being with the one you love:)
Saying you have to be flexible to do yoga is like saying you have to be in shape to go to the gym or that you have to be clean to take a shower. There may be a relationship between yoga and flexibility, but being flexible isn't a prerequisite to do yoga.
You don't have to touch your toes to practice yoga. If you want to touch your toes, bend your knees:)
All yoga sessions engage and stretch muscles, improving your balance, focus, power and range of motion.
I have many people joining my yoga retreats on their own – solo guests enjoy an en-suite double room all to themselves.
What you can expect on a Yoga Retreat is a lot of sharing, a lot of connection, a lot of interesting and stimulating conversation, a lot of learning and of course, (obviously) a good amount of Yoga! You may also expect a good amount of funny moments and a whole heap of laughter and love.
Do I have to participate in everything on the schedule?
The definition of a "retreat" is to "withdraw or pull back". This is an opportunity for you to check in with yourself away from the demands of your daily life. This means if you feel like you need to pull back from the group then this is what you will be supposed to do. These retreats are for YOU! So feel free to withdraw from any activity on the program to connect with yourself.
What type of food will there be on retreat? I have a specific dietary need, will there be options?
The buffet breakfasts at the hotels offer a wide variety of options from omelettes and eggs any style, fresh fruits and veggies, yoghurts, juices, breads, pancakes, cheeses, nuts, the list goes on. As well as a gluten-free section. The restaurants we go to have many options as well and they can accommodate any type of dietary request. You’ll have many things to choose from including large salads, fresh grilled fish and meat, all sorts of veggies, as well as pasta and legumes. We eat what we like, no restrictions, and often people will enjoy a glass of wine with dinner. Delicious food is one of the highlights of our yoga retreats, and we make sure that all dietary needs and allergies are taken into consideration.
It is recommended to bring your own mat, however, if you don't have one, drop me a line and my team will arrange it for you. On most retreats we try to provide yoga blocks and straps, but feel free to bring anything else you may need for your Yoga practice. There is no formal Yoga studio, instead we practice outside on a Yoga space overlooking the sea.
Yes, if you’d like to arrive earlier or stay a few days extra, I can arrange that for you with the hotel. Please, let me know in advance.
